I’m Confused

Let me see if I’ve got this straight:  the people who want to remove all censorship of nudity, sexually provocative pictures and raw language are also the people who sympathize with Islamic terrorists who behead producers of such material?

The people who want the U. S. armed forces to abandon the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy and allow gays to serve openly in the military are also the people who acquiesce to Islamic fundamentalists who execute homosexuals

The people who advocate gender equality across the board are also the people who think that Islamic views on women are to be understood and accepted under the guise of diversity in religion?

The people who mandate searching, frisking and wanding 99.9% of all airline passengers who have no history of blowing up buildings also allow the .01% of others who fit the criteria of those who do blow up buildings to skate through security without raising an eyebrow?

The people who despise the wealthy for their supposedly ill-gotten profits are the first ones who kiss up to the wealthy for huge donations to their political causes?

The people who rush to the defense of illegal immigrants are the least affected by them in a personal sense but greatly injured by them economically?

The people who claw their way to positions of power and influence through outrageous abuse of free speech are the same people who decry the dangers of free speech by their critics?

The people whose agenda is to rip the constitution to shreds also demand that their constitutional rights be protected whenever they get in trouble?

Are you as confused as I am by all this?  At some point, I’m sure it will all be explained.  Won’t it?

I would wager that a vast majority (probably 95% or greater!) of the folks who support the repeal of DADT also decry the boorish attitude and behavior of Islamic fundamentalists towards homosexuals, so I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that this is not the case?

Similarly, I think you might be confounding the issue on gender equality with the plea for a tolerance for peaceful, moderate Muslims; the National Organization for Women, for example speaks out against sharia law and its oppression against women:
